South ZoneCommissioner's Brief
Privacy
BBMP South Brief turns a person's own Gmail into a daily brief for the South Zone Commissioner's office, Bengaluru (BSCC). Only accounts the office has listed can sign in.
What the app gets from Google
- When you sign in: your email address, to know who you are.
- When you connect your mailbox: read-only access to your Gmail. The app can read mail but can never send, delete, label, or mark it as read.
- Each person sees only the mailbox they signed in with.
What it keeps, and where
- A copy of your mail, the summaries made from it, and the reports you ask for, on the app's server in India (Amazon Web Services, Mumbai), with weekly backups kept for about a month.
- A log of sign-ins and of which emails were opened, for security.
- One cookie that keeps you signed in. No tracking or analytics.
Who else sees it
- The text of your emails is sent to DeepSeek, the AI service that writes the summaries and answers questions in the app.
- Your mail is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone else.
Stopping
- Remove the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. It stops reading your mail at once.
- To have your copy deleted, ask the office that gave you access.
